Empties #2

Well I've collected empties again. This time there are quite a few lip products and even a few cleansing cloths. Now that I've filmed this video I can throw them all out (or recycle as required) and start a whole new stash all over again.

Korres Lip Butter Review

The other day I was in Sephora with my best friend just poking around when I noticed these lip butters by Korres. I've heard so many good things about them and I thought I would like to try them out for myself so I picked one up in Pomegranate.

The box is so cute. It has a very simplistic design, nothing too fancy. It's actually a box inside a box with the lip butter in the middle, which I thought was a really innovative way to package the product. I've never seen make up packaged like this so I was slightly confused when opening it, but I figured it out.

I also really like to actual packaging of the product. Like the box it has a very minimalistic design. There's nothing extravagant or ridiculous about it at all. It is a light-weight plastic container. I will admit that I was kind of disappointed about the packaging for the product. I thought that for the price it would be a bit more substantial I suppose. The lid feels really flimsy, like if I dropped it the packaging would break easily.

The product in the container looks really nice. It's a very sheer product, which I don't mind. You can definitely build up the colour if you like a more opaque look. The product itself feels really interesting. It feels kind of tacky in the pot, but on my lips it's not sticky at all. On my lips the lip butter feels super moisturising and lasts quite a while.

This sheer pink is the perfect no-make up make up look. It's definitely a my-lips-but-better product. For $16 I think the packaging could be better, but the product itself is great. I definitely give this a 4.5/5. I think I will end up repurchasing this when it runs out. What do you think? Have you ever tried the Korres Lip Butters before?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains Review

As soon as I heard about these when I was in the States I picked one up, not even caring about the colour. Yesterday, whilst out shopping with my best friend, she informed me that they had come to Canada. At last! I picked two up, bringing my total up to three. There was actually a very large selection at the Shoppers Drug Mart I went to, which was very surprising because they were almost sold out or not even in a lot of the drug stores I went to in USA.

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey, Crush, Cherish
The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are a much cheaper version of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, so if they look familiar, that is why. They are really nice and compact and look like little pencils, which I think is adorable. It' also really convenient. I don't have to squeeze a tube or twist up or anything. The only time I will ever have to twist is when they start to get used up a bit, like Cherish.

Honey, Crush, Cherish
These have a really moisturising feel on the lips, which is great. I do find that after a while they stop feeling moisturising and I feel inclined to reapply, which in turn builds up the colour. I highly suggest that unless you want to build the colour up to the max, you should probably carry around a lip balm with you as well to add that extra moisturising factor.

Honey, Crush, Cherish
The colour lasts for ages and I find myself waking up the next day with it still on my lips, albeit quite a bit faded. They are really nicely pigmented, not too sheer but not too opaque.

Honey
I would have to say my favourite is Honey, although I love Cherish for the summer and Crush for the fall coming up. Honey is a great neutral colour, and I love my neutrals. Revlon has a great colour selection, although I wish there was a bit more variety. I really want to find a peachy pink colour but I have yet to see that in this product. However there is one that is rather peachy pink I may have to pick up (once one of my other lip products has run out of course) and it is called Precious. Once these run out I think I may to repurchase they're just so great!
